Conrad New York Midtown [Directions]

23:30 Hotel in Midtown Manhatten

I was traveling with one of my teens for a portion of their Spring Break. This hotel had an affordable suite so that my son and I could have separate spaces. Wonderful gym and a beautiful room. The breakfasts here are over-priced.

Citi Bikes [Directions]

09:00 Ride Bikes through Central Park

Citi Bikes are readily available for pick up and drop off at various locations throughout the city. We picked up a couple near our hotel and rode them through the park. They are very sturdy and somewhat heavy bikes, so be prepared for a bit of a workout. We dropped them off outside the Met.

Metropolitan Museum of Art [Directions]

10:00 Best Art Museum in the World (IMHO)

I've been to this museum 100 times so it felt like visiting an old friend

abcV [Directions]

12:00 Vegetarian Restaurant

Yummy food. We sat right next to the kitchen so we had a view of the action through the huge plate glass windows.

Dante West Village [Directions]

15:00 Martini Bar - great outdoor seating

I joined Emilie, Cat, and Sara for martinis here. I met these three lovely ladies in Italy in April 2022 and it was so wonderful to see them again in person. Dante is a super hip martini bar. We were lucky enough to score an outdoor table!

La Percora Bianca Meatpaker District [Directions]

18:00 Italian Restuarant

Went with Sara, Cat, and Emilie for Italian food (in honor of Italy, where we met in 2022). The pasta was very yummy. A great place for a vegetarian.

Walk Across the Brooklyn Bridge [Directions]

10:00 Walk Across the Brooklyn Bridge

My teen was not into this.

Museum of Ice Cream [Directions]

12:00 An Ice Cream lovers paradise

When traveling to NYC with a teen, feeding them plenty is a must. The Museum of Ice Cream didn't disappoint in the free yummy treats. This is not a museum in the traditional sense but more of an art display dedicated to the love of all things ice cream. It is fun and has many fun places to take photos.. A big hit with the teen.

Museum of Illusions [Directions]

18:00 Museum dedicated to optical illusions

Small museum that we raced through in 60 minutes. There were about 50 optical illusion exhibits which were fun. The highlight was the roving magician.

Bad Cinderella [Directions]

14:00 Broadway show about a rebel Cinderella

I was surprised at how much my teen enjoyed this. It sparked some interesting conversations. I wish we had seen the show at the beginning of the trip rather than the end.
